Awaab's Law
Damp and mould can no longer be dismissed
Awaab's Law came into force for the social rented sector in England on 27 October 2025, setting defined timescales for investigating and acting on damp and mould hazards. The Renters' Rights Act 2025 provides for similar requirements to reach privately rented homes.
